Patrick passed from his earthly life to his heavenly home at 10:05 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.

The past week was a whirlwind of significant declines that culminated in a restful coma that he was in for the past two days.  His favorite music was played and loved ones remained by his side the entire time.

We spent Christmas day telling him that he was getting the best gift of all:  face to face with Jesus!  While we are happy for him, we just wish we could have gone with him.

Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time.  Details about his “Celebration of Life” service can be found here.

Love, Dena, Paige & Parker

Until then, know that God’s grace can and WILL sustain you even in the hardest times. with love and hope, Deb

I’ve watched Patrick finish this final phase of his life with such grace and contentment. He truly has been an insperation to continue serving the King, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. God is faithful to completion always. Patrick is complete now. Praise God for that! I rest assure in our Savior’s loving arms each and every time I feel sad for his no longer earthly presence. Once again, I know this is bigger than me, and God is in control, as always. Thank you, for remaining faithful, Patrick.
    Love and prayers,
    Gina Scott

  108. We don’t understand God’s ways but we have seen his loving grace and presence in your family and in Patrick as you went through this very difficult time. What an example of God’s love for all of us.
Praying for you Dena, Paige and Parker as you move on. We’re praying for you and the rest of your family, but we know Patrick is with Jesus. Someday we’ll all be together and this WILL make sense.
Love to you, Karen and Jim Crutchfield

  109. Gil and Deanna Kerr says:

What a wonderful testimony and encouragement to those who take life for granite and don’t fully appreciate their health. Patrick’s faith through such a difficult time is an example to all of us of the Lord’s sustaining love. Deanna and I send our love and prayers to the family.

  110. Keith and Marilyn Kaynor says:

We want you all to know we are praying for you and your extended family. We will all miss Patrick but what an incredible blessing that we know he’s with the Lord right now! He’s all better. He can walk and even jump for joy. What a blessing to know that! Love, Keith and Marilyn Kaynor

  111. Becky Martin says:

No doubt that Patrick’s home-going has left a huge void for many many people. Just a testimony to how the Lord was able to use him and the whole family in this world. From a distance I share the sorrow of you all, but am thankful that there truly is rejoicing amidst the tears.

Praying for God’s comfort and blessing for each one of you.

    Dena, Paige & Parker,

As I had the privilege of visiting and praying with Patrick & Dena back in September, little did I know that it would be the last time I would see Patrick this side of heaven. As you sorrow and make all of the adjustments in the days ahead, may God’s grace be sufficient, His peace be yours, His love be experienced and His comfort be sensed. Patrick was a genuine inspiration to me and always left me an open door to share with the youth group. As a supported missionary by Cornerstone, it was a privilege to see God’s blessing on Him and your family. May Isa 41:10 come to your remembrance many time in the days ahead.

  113. John & Esther Millheim says:

Dear Dena, Paige & Parker, Love the picture preceeding this page…can almost see Patrick being lifted from his bed of pain into the arms of Jesus, whom he loved and served so faithfully. We knew that God’s hand was on Patrick even as a student at BBC. Truly God has used both of you in the lives of soooo many. So thankful our children were privileged to be close friends through those days. Also, so grateful that God so beautifully used Patrick in the life of our grandaughter, Cassie, as he was her youth pastor and led her to Himself and to BBC. That is just one little example of the hundreds upon hundreds of young people both of your lives have touched. Will continue to lift you up as you walk this path with your Saviour right beside you. Hugs

  114. Colleen Rose says:

    Dena, Paige and Parker,
Praying that God’s grace and peace are evident to you during this difficult time. Rejoicing that Patrick is in heaven and grieving for you loss.

  115. Bob and Valarie Shearer says:

Patrick was always so bubbly and full of life, even in death his blog testifies to that. I spoke with him last year when he came back to Calvary to preach for us,little did we know that would be his last time to speak here at CBC.He was diagnosed shortly after his visit I believe. It has been many years now since the McGoldrick family has left Calvary Baptist in Latonia, but you are not forgotten.Paige and Parker were just little kids back then, looking at this blog,I can’t believe how they’ve blossomed. May the peace that only GOD can grant be with you in the coming days, weeks, months, years ahead.Patrick will never be forgotten. For ALL of us here at Calvary that were Blessed by Patrick and Dena’s service during your time with us,WE LOVE YOU.Patrick has finished the race, the race of “FAITH”……….. “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

  116. Brenda Kintner says:

I’ve been following Patrick’s blog all year long. Hadn’t checked facebook since a little before Christmas, but I knew in my heart that Patrick had gone home to be with Jesus. I just checked here today and read that he had passed away. May God bless you with His presence and peace.
